Assigned to Company D, 165th Infantry Regiment, 27th New York Infantry Division. Fought in the Central Pacific, Eastern Mandates and Ryukyus Campaigns. Earned The Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 3 bronze battle stars and The WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged as a Private First Class on October 11, 1945 at The Separation Center, Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
