- Private with Company E, 331st Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division. Entered combat on June 27, 1944 and was killed in action on December 10, 1944 in vicinity of Krewinkel, Rhineland, Germany. Buried with military honors at Golden Cemetery in his hometown. Honored also at the WWII Memorial in Flora, Illinois.
