Lois Overton, 94, of Noble, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Richland Nursing and Rehab.
Lois was born September 10, 1927 in Henderson, Kentucky to Thomas Cissna and Viva (Eades). She married Clarence Edgar "Tom" Overton on August 24, 1946 in Henderson, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2008.
Lois was a homemaker most of her life. She was an excellent cook, and she loved her family very much. Lois attended as many of her great grandchildren's sporting events as she could, for as long as she could. She also loved her flower garden very much. Lois had a very strong faith, and she attended church services at Cornerstone Community Church when she was able.
Lois is survived by her son, Leo Overton and wife Nancy of Noble; Son-in-law, Ray Dean Lewis of Noble; Grandchildren, Marty (Mona) Overton of Noble, Gina (John) Hutton of Noble, Jana (Randy) Baker of Noble, and Monty Taylor of Noble; Great grandchildren, Lindsay (Nick) Earnst, Hayley (Gregery) Breeden, Maci Baker, Cade Baker, Shawnee (Shawn) Atteberry, Hannah Taylor, Bryson Taylor; Step granddaughter, Staci Rinehart; Ten Great-Great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews .
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-dad, Alfred Goforth; her husband; daughter, Regina Lewis; son-in-law, Charlie Taylor; Daughter-in-law, Dude Overton; Two brothers, Leo Cissna and Charles Cissna; Three sisters, Mildred Breeden, Janice James, and Sue Davis.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Cornerstone Community Church. A visitation will be held one hour before at the church.
Interment will follow the service at the Hanna Cemetery, Noble, Illinois.
Memorials can be made to Cornerstone Community Church or Disabled American Veterans.
