  Mary L. Smith, 85, of Champaign passed away at 12:05 a.m. Sunday (June 21, 2015) at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Center at Clark-Lindsey, Urbana. She was born on Jan. 15, 1930 in Bible Grove Township to Ralph and Velma Wattles. She married Everett Smith in Champaign on Aug. 2, 1984 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Diana, in 1975 and 11 siblings. Surviving are two sons, Steve (Anne) Knudsen and Scott (Lori) Knudsen; a daughter, Debbie Knudsen; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Merle Hosick and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Mahomet Christian Church for many years. Published in the Champaign, Illinois News-Gazette. June 26, 2015
