    • LeRoy George Hinterscher, 64, of Oakland, IN formerly of Ingraham, IL died March 17, 2006 at his home.

      He was born November 18, 1941 in Clay County, IL, the son of Joseph and Agnes Bangert Hinterscher. He married Sandra Clark October 27, 1979.

      He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Wahiawa, HI. He worked for Texas Gas Transmission as an electrician for 22 years and was a member of the Vincennes Gun Club, American Legion, and an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

      He enjoyed hunting quail, his English Setter dogs, and his hunting friends. He also enjoyed doing work around the house, yard, and garden.

      Survivors include his wife; a step-son, Blane Horton; three brothers, Herman J., Delbert, and Franklin Hinterscher; a sister, Marlene Bierman; four step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

      Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Allan Hinterscher.

      Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Calvery Catholic Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.

      Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
