  Hilda Irene Franklin, 85, of Pekin, formerly of Farmer City and DeLand, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Hallmark House. Born Oct. 8, 1913, in Olney to Frank and Carrie Schnautz Thomann. She married Henry Franklin on Sept. 20, 1930 in Monticello. He died on Sept. 23, 1990. Also preceding her in death were two brothers and one infant sister. Surviving are two sons, Sylvan and E. Alan; one brother, John "Fritz" Thomann; three sisters, Marguerite Prosser, Katherine Miller and Mabel Pritchard; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She farmed with her husband in the Farmer City-DeLand area for 45 years. She was a 50-year member of the Home Bureau Extension and a member of the Rebekah's of DeLand.
