    • Charles M. McDowell, 72, of Olney died Wednesday April 5, 1995 at his residence.

      Full military rites performed.

      McDowell was born June 2, 1922 in Clay County, the son of Nathaniel and Goldia (Luke) McDowell. He married Nancy Berry in February 1957. He was employed in the oil fields.
      He was a member of the Calhoun United Methodist Church, VFW and American Legion.

      He is survived by his wife of Olney; a son, Kenneth McDowell of Sterling, Oh.; a daughter, Deborah Daugherty of Olney; a brother, John E. McDowell of Calhoun; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Rebecca) Schmucker of Calhoun; and three grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
