    • Robert W. Ferguson, 66, of Xenia, died the evening of December 20, 2002, at the Clay County Hospital, Flora, IL.

      Robert was born February 3, 1936 to Carl and Gladys Stanford Ferguson in Carlinville. He married Linda L. Hilderbrand November 20, 2000 in Bullhead City, AZ. She preceded him in death April 8, 2002.

      Mr. Ferguson was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the operators local 841, Terre Haute, IN. He was also a member of the Lawrenceville Moose Lodge, Flora VFW, and Sons of the American Legion Flora Post. He was an avid pool and horseshoe player and mushroom hunter.

      Survivors include four daughters, Sherry Sue Gosnell, Debra Kay McAdow, Terri Lynne Collins, and Bobbi Marie Haskins; two step-daughters; a brother, Tom Ferguson; two sisters, Ruth Cavins and Sarah Hayes; nine grandchildren; and seven Great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, and a sister.

      Funeral services were held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Marty Fatheree officiating.
