  Danny William Schnepper, age 67, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday evening, May 18, 2021. He was born July 21, 1953, in Flora, Illinois, the son of William L. “Junior” and Evelyn (Devore) Schnepper. He was united in marriage to Cathy J. Trago on November 12, 1977, at the Flora First United Methodist Church and together they have shared 43 years of marriage. Danny was a lifelong farmer and owned and operated his own excavating business. He was an avid Allis-Chalmers antique tractor collector and enjoyed his time spent serving on the Clay Electric Board for 21 years. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, watching them play sports and giving his grandkids tractor rides. Danny valued his family and friends over anything and was always willing to stop everything to help them. He is survived by his wife: Cathy Schnepper of Louisville; children: Josie (Marko) Skubiak of Oswego, Jessica (Ethan) Workman of Louisville, and Joshua (Ashley) Schnepper of Louisville; 5 grandchildren: Emersyn, Vera, Maks, Dawson, and Silas; siblings: Gary (Linda) Schnepper of Louisville, Barbara (Dana) Milligan of Flora, John (Kris) Schnepper of Clay City, Paul (Regina) Schnepper of Louisville, and Glenn (Linda) Schnepper of Louisville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife: Patricia (Franklin) Schnepper. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. A private funeral ceremony will be held with interment in Hoosier Prairie Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Cancer Crusaders or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted through the funeral home.
