  Lucille Grandon, 92, of Evansville, IN formerly of Fairfield, IL died at 12:25 PM on Friday, January 28, 2011, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN. She was born October 29, 1918 in Flora, IL to Roy H. & Ethel M. (Riggle) Davis. She married Robert E. Grandon on October 25, 1938 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1978. Lucille was the past owner/operator of a beauty shop in Flora, was a faithful member of Fairfield Church of Christ, and at age 60 she went to nursing school and worked as a nurse until retiring at age 75. She is survived by three daughters: Karla Ewing of Evansville, IN, Kris Johnson & husband Jim of Florence, AL, Karen Smith of Orinda, CA; six grandchildren: Faith Ewing, Brett (Lori) Leinard, Alexa Smith, Angela O'Connor, Brian Smith, and James Smith; two step-grandchildren: Richard (Ann) Johnson and Eric (Christy) Johnson; seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters (Muriel Connerly and Thelma Smith O'Dell). Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday (January 31, 2011) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with burial in Bunker Cemetery, Rinard.
