  Dean Travis, 69, of Clay City passed away at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Clay County Hospital, Flora. He was born January 25, 1939 in Clay County, the son of Roy and Hattie Benskin Travis. He was never married. Mr. Travis retired from working in the oil fields. Survivors include a brother, Ray Travis of Clay City and several close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two half brothers and one half sister. Funeral services were held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Clay City, with burial in Clay City Cemetery.
