      Jerry Don Snell, 58 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, April 5, 2010 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Mercer officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

      Jerry Don Snell was born on July 25, 1951 in Clay City, Illinois to Richard Calvin and Betty Jeane (Hilderbrand) Eastin. He was reared in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. Jerry worked in the oil field for various companies and lived in several different towns, including Yukon, Mustang and Edmond. He returned to Woodward in 1986 and has lived here since that time. Jerry had been working as a Driller for Goober Drilling until his health forced him to retire. He was united in marriage to Terrie Stewart on December 26, 2009 in Woodward, Oklahoma.

      He attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycles, boating, but most of all he enjoyed hunting and OU football. His greatest love was his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the ABATE Northwest Chapter.

      He is survived by his wife Terrie Snell of the home; his mother, Betty Eastin of Woodward; mother-in-law, Betty Howe and father-in-law, Ed Howe of Yukon; one sister, Sharon Ashlock of Woodward; Jerry and Terrie's children, Sandy and Darrell Ingraham of Norman, Desarae and Will Childers of Mooreland, Nichole Gartrell of Woodward, Stephen Canning of Guthrie, Kaylnn Snell of the home, Amy and Jason Ferguson of Kingston, Charles and Dixie Taylor of Elk City, David and Donna Taylor of Woodward, Bryan Taylor of Woodward, 16 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends, Kent Anderson, Doyle Kells, Jack Price, Tony Coursney, Richard Hargraves, Jason Ferguson, Billy Bohn and his ABATE brothers and sisters.

      He was preceded in death by his father, grandfather, Delbert Hilderbrand, two sisters, Linda Snell and Connie Thomas and an infant brother David Snell.
