Notes - Ina Corrine Brant, 97 of Clay City, Illinois, passed away October 9, 2015, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois. She married Johnnie M. Brant on May 2, 1937. Being a farm wife and mother, Ina kept busy with her home, large garden, chickens, and baking cookies, pie, or cake every day for her family. Perhaps after dessert, fried chicken was her favorite food. There was always a big glass of iced tea next to the sink. Ina was a member of Ingraham Christian Church and later attended Clay City Christian Church.
Ina was born September 22, 1918 in Clay County, the daughter of Curtis Alfred and Zula (Wilkins) Lewis. She was preceded in death by husband of 74 years, Johnnie Brant, son Donald Brant, sister Velma Grady, and brother Elvin Lewis.
