  Beulah Fern Petty, 83, of Claremont, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at her son's residence in Olney. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Olney. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Pastor Denise Burke officiating. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Amity Cemetery in rural Claremont. Mrs. Petty was born on May 11, 1921, in rural Champaign County, the daughter of Roscoe and Maude Marie (Fancher) Baylor. She married Mason Petty on December 23, 1944, in Homer by Reverend Bert Petty. He survives. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Olney. Mrs. Petty is survived by her husband, Mason Petty, of Claremont; three daughters, Donna Moore and her husband, J.C., of Cuba, Illinois, Deborah Petty, of Springfield, and Rebecca Scott, of Fairfield; two sons, Jim Petty and his wife, Beth, of Olney, and Gary Petty, of Olney; a sister, Winifred Mullins, of Champaign; a brother, Cecil Baylor, of Lima, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Heather Borst, Ross and Brent Petty, Jayme and Doug Moore and Heidi Scott.
