    • William D. 'Bill Petty was born April 12, 1936, in Mt. Erie, the son of Harl and Alta Mae (Houston) Petty. He married Neva Shock on May 31, 1969, in Olney. She survives.
      Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Neva Petty; son, Gary Petty and fiancée Brandi Lutz; grandchildren, Kolby Petty and Miranda Petty; brothers, Harl Petty Jr. and wife Kim and Clint Petty and wife Donna; sister, Sue Lenear and husband Virgil; and several nieces and nephews.
      He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Patricia Jackson and Lou Petty, and a brother, Gerald "Butch" Petty.
