- Carrie Herrin, 98, of Olney, died at 3:10 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011, at Burgin Manor in Olney.
Funeral services at Cornerstone Community Church in Noble with Dr. Berton Heleine officiating. Burial in Maple Dale Cemetery in Olney.
Mrs. Herrin was born December 12, 1912, in Noble, the daughter of Arvey and Minnie Harris.
She married Charles Herrin in 1931. He preceded her in death.
She worked at The Holiday in Olney and cleaned houses and was a member of Cornerstone Community Church. She loved planting and taking care of her beautiful flowers. Prior to June, Carrie resided at Fox River Apartments and leaves many wonderful friends there. Carrie's wonderful smile will be missed by everyone; she was loved by all.
Mrs. Herrin is survived by her daughter, Ruth Esders and her husband, Willie, of Parkersburg; daughter, Bonnie Wandrei and her husband, Carl, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; granddaughters, Debbie Horton and her husband, Jim, of Berne, Ind.; Wendy Simpson and her husband, Rusty, of Decatur; grandson, Carl Wandrei Jr. and his wife, Ida, Saudi Arabia; niece, Jeannie Westall, of Olney; great-grandchildren, Colton, Nathan, Phillip, Quentin, Sabrina, Steve and Timmy; and special friends, Patty and Kathy Harris, of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Bessie Brooks, and brother, Carl (Bud) Harris.
