      WILLIAM HUFFMAN CALLED SUDDENLY

      William D. Huffman, 86 died at 7:15 this morning at his home four and one-half miles south and one miles west of Liberty Center. His death was attributed to heart trouble.

      Mr. Huffman was born Nov 12, 1859 in Wells county to David and Elizabeth Barton Huffman. His marriage to Margaret Thomas took place in 1882. She preceded him in death, May 15, 1936.

      The decedent was a retired farmer and a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.

      Since the death of his wife he had resided with a grandson.

      He is survived by the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Blanche Smith, Sumner, Ill.; Mrs. Lucy Jacobs, Lawrenceville, Ill.; Mrs. Cora Sharrett, Bridgeport, Ill.; Mrs. Zella Hunt, Allendale, Ill.; Mrs. Rosa Osborn, Daleville; Mrs. Nellie Noe, Carl and Earl Huffman, of Poneto; Claude Huffman, Morenci, Mich., and Homer Huffman, near Bluffton.

      Also surviving are 29 grandchilldren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

      The body was removed to the H. Brown & Son funeral home at Warren and will be returned to the residence where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in charge of Rev. Lester Howell. Burial will be in the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Montpelier.
