Her tombstone only shows the years 1849 - 1927 According to the 1900 Noble, Richland County Census, Margaret was born in September 1850 in Germany. The census shows both her parents were born in Germany. Her tombstone has the Americanized spelling of "Margret" Yauch.

  Margaret Hasler was born in Canton Berne, Switzerland. She came to America with her family at the age of two. She was 19 when she married Jacob Yauch. Margaret & Jacob's family eventually grew to eight children. She & Jacob's first six children were girls; Elizabeth, Rose, Della, Sarah (Sally), Della again, & Lillie Mae. There were then two sons John & Jacob born. Jacob and Margaret lost four children in infancy including the first "Della", thus accounting for their naming another daughter Della in 1879.
