  Came to America and settled in Illinois in 1868. George was christened in the Episcopal church of England, but did not unite with any church organization on removing to America. Uncle George, as he was affectionately known, has made his home with his son, Thomas, during the past twenty-one years. For eighteen years he has been blind and during the past three years or more has been in poor health. He died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning, March 21, being 90 years, 2 months, 27 days old.
