  Neva Elizabeth Slankard, 73, of Noble, died at 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind. Funeral services will be Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Doyle Williams officiating. Burial will be in Zif Cemetery in rural Clay City. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Slankard is survived by her husband, William L. "Pete" Slankard of Nobel; four sons,, Garry Slankard and his wife, Theresa of Newburgh, Ind., Jerry Slankard and his wife, Judy of Strasburg, Ohio, Jim Slankard and his wife, Kathy of Olney and Bill Dean Slankard and his wife, Cheryl of Clay City; a twin sister, Eva Klingler of Olney; two brothers, Noel Wyatt of Clay City and W. O. "Bill" Wyatt of Fife Lake, Mich.; and 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Neil Wyatt, and two sisters, Lucille Kauble and Bernice Kauble. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
