- Jerusha M. Rexroad, 94, of Pontiac passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:50 p.m. at Good Samaritan Home in Pontiac, IL.
Her service will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Donald Leonard and Pastor Tom Goodell officiating. Burial will follow at Cornell Cemetery in Cornell, IL.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Jerusha was born April 16, 1923 in South Muddy Township, Jasper County, IL to Jacob and Lillie Mae (Fulk) Pierce. She married Harvey Vernon Rexroad, Sr. on October 7, 1940 in Louisville, KY. He passed away April 10, 1986.
She is survived by her children, Maybell Joann (Jeff) Richard of Pontiac, Leonard Ralph (Diane) Rexroad of Fairplay, MO, John Garlen (Judy) Rexroad of DePue, IL, August Eugene (Kathy) Rexroad of Phoenix, AZ, Veron Alonzo Rexroad of Pontiac, IL, Jacob Harold (Bonnie) Rexroad of Pontiac, IL, Jack Harrison Rexroad of Streator, IL, Lillie Alice Rexroad of Pontiac, IL, Scott Allen Rexroad of Streator, IL, Lulubelle Arlene Rexroad of Pontiac, IL, and Dennis Allan (Melody) of Flanagan, IL; 69 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey; three sons, Harvey Vernon Rexroad, Jr., Tommie Bernard Rexroad, Larry Ardel Rexroad; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Jerusha attended schools in Hord, IL and was a homemaker. She was a member of Cornell Methodist Church in Cornell, IL. She greatly enjoyed playing cards and bingo and sewing.
