  Mary L. McDowell, 70, of Sumner, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday at Richland Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wayne County September 26, 1906 to Delbert and Nellie Petty Taylor. She was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Ralph; a son, Dale of Baldwin Park, Cal.; daughters, Marjorie McDowell, Olney and Mrs. Jean Smith, Rt. 2, Sumner; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Pearl Taylor of Olney and Ishmael of Crossville. Services at the Sivert Funeral Home, Sumner with the Rev. Grant Cummins officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Published in Olney Daily Mail (IL) - Mar. 26, 1977
