- Inez Nadine Moseley Obituary
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Inez Nadine "Deanne" (Frank) Moseley, 94, of Clay City, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025, surrounded by family, at her granddaughter's home in Monticello, IL.
Inez was born July 17, 1930, in Clay City Township, Clay City, IL, the daughter and ninth child of Samuel Walton Frank Sr and Mary Catherine "Katie" (Montgomery) Frank. She married Norman Dale Moseley on June 14, 1947, in Jeffersonville, TN. The devoted couple were married for 54 years before he preceded her in death on February 25, 2002.
Inez was a remarkable woman who lived a life full of love, kindness, and compassion, and who touched the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
She was the heart and soul of our family, a passionate homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and cousin. She loved her family with her entire soul. She was supportive and encouraging, always sweet and loving, and so proud to be called Mom and Grandma. She pridefully extended her love and support to all her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Inez was homecoming queen in high school. She was co-founder of the Historic Sailor Springs Foundation, Sailor Springs, IL. She was a member of the Sailor Springs Baptist Church, Sailor Springs, IL.
For many years, she helped organize both the Frank and Montgomery family reunions. She enjoyed remodeling mobile homes in the 90s with her husband. She loved ballroom and country western dancing, singing, telling stories, and yodeling. Her sense of humor was second to none; she was a real prankster. For sport, she would frequently rearrange her home furnishings. Lastly, Inez always had a positive outlook on life, even in the face of adversity, and she never let anything dampen her spirits.
As Inez held all of us in her beautiful heart, her everlasting memory, as an extraordinarily loving woman will live on forever in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the love we hold in our hearts.
Inez is survived by her sons Rodney Dane Moseley, of Monticello, IL, Floyd Douglas Moseley (Margaret), of Lithia Springs, GA, and Timothy Paul Moseley, of Clay City, IL; grandchildren Rodney Shane Moseley (Rachel), of Mahomet, IL, Tara Shay (Moseley) Thompson (Steven), of Monticello, IL, Christine Michelle (Moseley) Watson (Michael), of Lithia Springs, GA, and Chadwick Aaron Moseley (Jodi), of Temple, GA; eight great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is Inez's brother-in-law, Gerald Glen Moseley (Mary), of Austin, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Monte Alan Moseley and Jon Darrell Moseley; step-grandson, David Allen Jordan; great-grandson, Jason Chadwick Moseley; and siblings, Alberta Lorena (Frank) Gumbel, Robert Berlin Frank, Bonnie Eileen (Frank) Gill, Zelma Blanche (Frank) Crouse, Kathryn Muriel (Frank) Milner, Samuel Frank Jr, Galen Frank, Naomi Faye (Frank) Franklin, Mary Louise (Frank) Hulsey, Shirley Anne (Frank) Schnautz, and Richard Wayne Frank.

Burial will follow the service at Smith Cemetery in rural Sailor Springs, IL.
