    • Paul W. Hance, 64, East Peoria, died at 6:08 a.m. Sunday, May 12, in Methodist Medical Center. Services were held May 14, in the Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church in East Peoria. Burial was in Hill Crest Memory
      Gardens in Morton. Memorials can be made to the Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church.

      Mr. Hance was born March 5, 1921, in Noble, the son of Charles J. and Dora Denning Hance. He married Beulah Scherer Dec. 20, 1947, in Olney and she survives. He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a charter member of Martin Courtney VFW Post 4835 in Creve Coeur. He was a member of the UAW Local 974 and the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

      Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Pauletta) Williams, Olney; Mrs. Charles (Brenda) Penney, Houston, Texas; Mrs. James (Cynthia) Deaton, Washington; and Mrs. Michael (Gail) Ball, East Peoria; a brother, Leslie Hance, Noble; four sisters, Mrs. Stella. Smith and Mrs. Louis (Evelyn) Delonshaw, both of Clay City; Mrs. Erlloyd (Georgia) Leefers, Argenta; and Mrs. Kim (Wanda) Fessler,
      Noble; and nine grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
