  George H. Thomas Jr., 77, of Noble, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana as a result of a car accident near Albion, IL. Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Reverend Bill Wiggs officiating. Burial in Hanna Cemetery. Mr. Thomas was born April 22, 1938, in Seminary, the son of George H. Thomas Sr. and Mary E. (Carson) Thomas. He married Rebecca Ann Patterson on February 17, 1961, in Olney. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2008. George was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. George was easygoing and well-liked. He took pleasure in attending grandchildren's sporting events and was a long-time St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Noble. George is survived by a son, Troy Thomas, of Noble; daughter, Terri Bailey and husband Brian, of Ogdon, Indiana; son, Timmy Thomas, of Noble; son, Derek Patton and fiancée, Angie Jones, of Olney; grandchildren, Logan Thomas, Rylan Thomas, Brandon Thomas and Cameron Patton; sisters, Phoebe Harrison and Joan Lomas, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
