  Lela P. Frutiger, 87, of Clay City, died June 27, 2004, at Cisne Health Care Center. Mrs. Frutiger was born March 12, 1917, in Clay County, the daughter of William and Rosa Bickers Welch. She married Arnold Frutiger August 20, 1935 and he preceded her in death February 22, 1979. She was a retired cook and member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dupo. Survivors include a son, Dan Frutiger; a daughter, Luella Humphrey; and five grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, six brothers including Lee Welch, and three sisters. Graveside services were held at Dillman Cemetery in Sailor Springs. Neal Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (Published Hometown Journal)
