Lois was born June 29, 1936 in Flora, Illinois, the daughter of Gaylord A. Gill and Bonnie E. (Frank) Gill. She married Dale Eugene Stanley on December 19, 1954 in Clay City, Illinois.
Lois was a secretary and bookkeeper at the Clay City Grade School and the Clay City Village Hall, until she retired. Lois enjoyed working in the yard and taking care of all her flowers and shrubs. After many years of having to listen to St. Louis Cardinals and Illini Basketball, she finally decided if you can't beat them, join them and became a huge fan and watched every game with Dale. She will be especially remembered for the love she had for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
