  He was a 1969 graduate of Clay City High School and earned his degree in electronics at United Electronics School at Louisville, KY. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Constellation for three years during the Vietnam War receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/DEVICE (60-), First Good Conduct Award for period ending 27 Aug. 75, Presidential Unit Citation, RVN and Gallantry Cross w/palm. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clay City, Popular Rotorcraft Association of Illinois and Experimental Aircraft Association. Kenneth was employed as a test equipment engineer for Phoenix Corporation from 1991 – 2002 and from 2003 until present as a quality assurance technician at Bunn-O-Matic.
