  Zane Moseley, 84, of Clay City, died on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his residence. Zane was born on October 11, 1935 in Clay County, IL, the son of Galen and Hazel (Travis) Moseley. He married Patsy (Herdes) on August 3, 1955 in Shawneetown, IL and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2012. Zane worked for IDOT for 34 years as a highway maintainer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending his property. Zane took pleasure in driving his tractor and helping others start their gardens each year. Zane is survived by his son, Tim (Randa) Moseley of Clay City; grandsons, Joshua (Tonya), Jacob, Adam (Tiffany) , and Dustin (Brittany) Moseley; granddaughter, Crystal (Myles) Lewis; step-grandchildren; Justin Clevenger, Keith Clevenger, and Bridget (Larry) Owenby; 17 great grandchildren; and sister, Judy Ashley. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Billy Moseley; and sister, Wilma Shaffer. Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Clay City Cemetery.
