  Betty Duff, 90, of Cedar Rapids, IA, formerly of Clay City, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was born February 24, 1926 in Shidler, OK to Dennis T. and Edna Pearl (Doggett) Miller. Betty was the mother of four children who all preceded in her death. She was a member and involved with church activities at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, IA Survived by Son-in-law, Brian Gilchrist of Ann Arbor, MI; 2 Grandchildren, Thomas (Diana) Gilchrist of Detroit, MI and Patrick Gilchrist of Ann Arbor, MI; Brother-in-law, Gary (Beverly) Clark of Clay City; Nephews, Wesley and Steve Miller of Flora, Ron Payne of Louisville, Jack Clark of Stewardson, Brad Clark of Louisville, David Miller of Pennsylvania; Nieces, Mary K Davis of Lincoln, Vicki Guller of Texas, Denise Schillaci of Washington, Sandi Morris of Tennessee, Tamara Jeanes of Louisville. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Earl Duff Jr., four children, Marci Gilchrist, Bobby Duff, Debbie Duff, and Jeff Duff; two brothers, Everett and Donald Miller, and three sisters, Cleta Mae Payne, Juanita Miller, and Edna Sue Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City, with visitation one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Clay City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
