Assigned to and served with the 1242nd Army Air Forces Base Unit engaged in the occupation of Germany. Honorably discharged as a Private First Class on December 30, 1946 at the Separation Center, Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Earned the American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).
