  Larry Gene Bright, age 78, of Orchardville, Illinois, passed away Friday afternoon, March 25, 2022, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was born December 30, 1943, in Orchardville, the son of Emil and Mabel (Withrow) Bright. Larry attended school in Orchardville. He later worked for Stanley Greathouse milking cows and helping out on the family farm. Gardening was something he really enjoyed, and after retiring he liked making regular stops at the corner store to visit with the guys. Larry is survived by a brother: Eber (Pat) Bright of Cisne; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers: Lewis Ray Bright, Jerry W. Bright, Robert L. Bright, Leslie Gene Bright, Billie Joe Bright, and Jimmie C. Bright; and a niece: Bridget Karrick. A funeral ceremony for Larry will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jacob’s Chapel Cemetery, Orchardville. Instead of flowers or gifts, memorial donations are encouraged to Jacob’s Chapel Cemetery or the Orchardville Community Center, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
