Louise was born Sept. 13, 1922, in Newton, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Jones) Reisner. She married John Newlin April 26, 1946, at Central Christian Church, Newton.
Louise was a homemaker and Shaklee Distributor for over 40 years. She was a member of Falmouth Church of Christ, a former PTA president and committee worker. She taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school, even in her sunset years. She participated in Southern Illinois Christian Convention and was secretary/treasurer at Falmouth Church of Christ from 1995 to spring 2008, and was still hosting and teaching a weekly Bible study, as well as a monthly Fidelis Circle at her home. Louise was a prolific letter writer, writing long, newsy letters to family, friends and missionaries. Because handwriting had become so difficult, she had a new typewriter ribbon purchased and installed for her the night before her death. She was looking forward to using it.
Survivors are her loving husband of 63 years, John; daughters, Phyllis Rabb of Evansville, Ind., Loire (Doug) Wing of Newton, Iowa, and Vivian Price and Loret Newlin, both of Newton; daughter-in-law, Anita Newlin of Patoka.; sister, Florence Weaver of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Chris Wing (wife, Clarissa), Jenn (Wing) Wood, (husband, Steve), Michelle (Rabb) Bender, (husband, Burt), Conrad Price, Amanda Price and Hannah Newlin; and great-grandchildren, Symone and Sydney Bender, Walter and Vivienne Wood and Caitlyn Wing. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Howard; and a grandchild, Eli Bender.
