  He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Freeman United Coal Co. for 37 years. Robert Dean was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. He spent his retirement traveling with his wife and friends and working in his garage. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
