  John R. Foerster, 74, of Olney, died at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at his home. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Claremont with full military rites performed by Olney veterans. Mr. Foerster was born May 5, 1936, the son of William H. and Grace V. (Patterson) Foerster. He married Winnie (Herdes) on August 28, 1959 at Glenwood Church. She survives. He worked as a machine operator for Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Calhoun Christian Church. Mr. Foerster is survived by his wife, Winnie Foerster, of Olney; son, John Brett Foerster and wife, Kasey, of Olney; son, Michael Dale Foerster, of Olney; son, Bart Alan Foerster, of Olney; sister, Pearl Anderson and husband, Jerry, of Olney; brother, Harold Lee Foerster and wife, Cindy, of Olney; sister, Frances Stoll, of Claremont; and brother, Robert Foerster and wife, Susan, of Olney. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Grace V. Foerster, and one brother, Raymond.
