There were seven children from their union, but only three daughters survived to adulthood. Elizabeth and John lived in Illinois early in their marriage (probably in Richland and Clay Counties), then later moved to Indiana — the 1900 census found them in Owensville, Gibson County, Indiana, USA.

Lizzie's husband John died in Montgomery Township, Gibson County, Indiana (near Owensville) on 12 March 1910. By the 1910 census, which was enumerated a month later on 15 April 1910, Elizabeth and her remaining three daughters were back in Sailor Springs, Clay County, Illinois, USA. Now the head of her household, Lizzie worked as a hotel laundress.

By 1920, when the census was taken, Elizabeth was still in Sailor Springs, living as a companion to another widow. Later that year, Elizabeth married her second husband, Harry Herbert SCHOTT. Harry was the son of Samuel Schott and Matilda Ann Taylor; he had been married several times (twice before Lizzie, and again after her death). Harry and Elizabeth moved to the Mount Vernon area in Jefferson County, Illinois, and remained there until Elizabeth's death on 28 Aug 1939. Elizabeth was buried in Bethel Memorial Cemetery on 30 Aug 1939. Harry remarried, and died nearly 7 years later on 16 Aug 1946; he was buried in a different cemetery in Mount Vernon.

2536 ELSIE ELIZABETH MAGLONE was born in October 1863 in Illinois, the daughter of James Maglone and Mary Henson. The family had been living in Noble Township, Richland County, Illinois, USA, and most of the older children of the family were born there. But sometime before the 1870 census they moved to Hoosier Township, Clay County, Illinois, USA. Elsie might have been born in either place. She had 8 older siblings -- Mary, Martha, James, Thomas, Margaret, Lucinda, Felix, and Rachel -- and one younger sister -- Emily (or Emma) Maglone. After her mother's death (sometime before 1870), her father remarried and Elsie gained two more younger half-brothers, John and William.

On 22 January 1885, in Noble, Richland County, Illinois, USA, Elsie married her first husband, Hugh M. Tucker, son of James Tucker and Frances Toliver. They had one daughter together, Laura E. Tucker, born 07 March 1887 in Noble, Illinois, and then Hugh died. His exact death date and burial location is unknown.

On 28 November 1889, Elsie married again -- this time to Hugh's first cousin, Abraham Douglas Tucker, son of Joseph Tucker and Nancy Bedwell. Abe had previously been married to Elsie's first cousin, Clara "Carrie" Dickey (daughter of James Dickey and Mary Maglone), but Carrie also died young, leaving Abe a widower with a young daughter to raise, Julia May Tucker. The two daughters, May and Laura, were double second cousins to each other, but now they became step-sisters in the new merged family. Abe and Elsie had a third child together, a son, Corta Emery Tucker, born in 1893.

Abe was a farmer, and then later a clerk. They continued to live in Noble, Illinois. Their children all married. Laura married a minister, Charles Ealy, in 1906, and had three sons, Abraham, Charles (died in infancy) and Marvin. In 1909, May married Dan Hemrich; they continued to live in the area but had no children themselves. Finally, in 1919, Corta married Ethel Foster, and they also had three sons: Donald, Douglas, and Ray Dean (died in 1951).

Abe died on 29 March 1937 in Noble Township, Richland County, Illinois, USA. He was 80 years old. He was buried in Hanna Cemetery on the first of April, 1937. Elsie lived as a widow for another 16 years, and then she died herself in Noble, Illinois, on the 8th of May, 1953. 2549 Emiline, daughter of Gabriel and Sarah Kneff, was born in the state of Ohio, November 12, 1846; departed this life June 27, 1924, age 77 years, seven months and 15 days.

In early childhood she emigrated to Clay county, Illinois, where she spent the rest of her life.
She was united in marriage to B. T. Atherton July 24, 1870. This union was fruitful of two daughters, who are living, and who cared for their aged mother, since the death of their father September 18, 1908.

In her young girlhood she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined the United Brethren church at Halterman school house 1868 or 1869, later transferred to Harmony, where she was a consistent member until death; though in later years she was not permitted to attend services on account of her afflictions, yet her faith and hope was anchored in Jesus.

She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. Ella A. Dobbs, and Mrs. Carrie Robertson, both of Flora; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers, T. R. Kneff of Flora, Rev. J. H. Kneff of Canon City, Colo., one sister, Mrs. A. L. Finch of McNeil, Ark., and a number of other relatives and friends.

Aunt Emiline was a loving mother, a good neighbor and kind friend. She will be sadly missed, yet we feel that our loss is her eternal gain.

God saw when her footsteps faltered,
When her heart grew weak and faint;
He marked when her strength was failing,
And listened to each complaint.
He bade her rest forever,
For the pathway had grown too steep;
And now she is sweetly sleeping,
God gives his loved ones sleep.
Like weary and worn out children,
That sigh for the daylight's close,
He knows how we are longing
For home and sweet repose.
So He called this one from her labors,
Ere the shadows round her creep
And silently He watched o'er her,
He gives His beloved sleep.
All dream of the distant future,
All fears that oppressed today
Like mist that clear in sunlight
Have all passed away.
No calls, no troubles, can rouse her
From a sleep so pure and deep,
For only His voice can reach her,
Who gives His loved ones sleep.
Weep not, her toils are over
Rejoice! Her race is run,
God grant we may rest as calmly,
When our work like hers is done.
Till then let us yield with gladness,
Our treasures to Him to keep,
And rejoice in the sweet assurance,
He giveth His loved ones sleep.

Funeral services were held from Harmony church on Sunday afternoon, Rev. G. L. Good officiating. Burial at Kneff cemetery.
