| Text | Orvel E. Patterson, 91 Orvel E. Patterson, 91, of Clay City, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2003, at Clay County Hospital in Flora. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Funeral sservices will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Meridith officiating. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery. Mr. Patterson was born on July 28, 1911, in Clay County, the son of James and Dorothy (Nash) Patterson. He marrieied Alice Wease on December 18, 1937, in Washington, Ind. She survives. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Noble. Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Alice Patterson, of Clay City; a daughter, Mavis Lynn and her husband, Galen, of Ardmore, Okla.; a brother, John Patterson, of Olney; three sisters, Elsie Taylor, of Olney, Margaret McDowell, of Olney, and Dorothy Finnegan, of Clay City; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
