Honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class on February 27, 1946 at the Naval Personnel Separation Center, Great Lakes. Earned The American Campaign Medal. Jesse Ryker, Jr., 64, Noble, died December 11, 1989 at Burgin Manor, Olney.

Mr. Ryker was born March 14, 1925, in Clay City, the son of Jesse and Lucy Wease Ryker, Sr. He married Dorothea Davis, Feb. 21, 1948 in clay City and she survives.

He was a retired woodworker, a member of Clay City Baptist Church, a World War II veteran and a member of the Olney American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothea; six sons, David, Douglas, Donald, Doran, Lee, Darren; five daughters, Diane Barrett, Donna Kirts, Mylene Earp, Deanna Kuhl, Frances Richey; and 18 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services were held at Hosselton, Bookhout, Engelmeir Funeral Home with burial in the Clay City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Clay City Baptist Church Building Fund.
