- Barbara A. Pruitt, 64, of Flora, IL, passed away at 5:15PM; Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital; St. Louis, MO
She was born on Dec. 3, 1948 at Olney, IL to Clinard Ollie & Ruby (Worley) Curtis. She married Wayne E. Pruitt on Nov. 16, 1968 at Xenia, IL and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2001.
She was employed at North American Lighting at Flora, IL and was previously employed by Spartan Manufacturing at Flora for approx. 30 years.
She was a member of the Xenia Community Church and she enjoyed spending time with family as her children and grandchildren were the love of her life.
Surviving Barbara are: two daughters- Carla Speagle and Tammy Propes; a son Michael Pruitt; four sisters Joyce Williams, Elaine Bullard, Donna Holtzinger, and Marlene Cosner; four brothers Jerry Curtis, Randy Curtis, Donald Curtis, and Luke Curtis. Also nine grandchildren survive.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, her parents,two sisters- Carolyn and Marilyn Curtis and a brother Kenneth Curtis.
Funeral services were held at the Hosselton Funeral Home at Cisne, IL with burial in Bunker Cemetery at Rinard.
