- Martha Williams Dale, former long-time resident of Fayetteville, passed away at Conway Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 24th. She had lived in Conway since 2007.
Martha was born April 9th, 1920, in Ashdown. She was the daughter of James Harrison Williams and Margaret Patterson Williams.
Martha's family and friends considered her a very tender and loving person.
During World War II she contributed to the war effort by working at Curtiss-Wright aircraft plant in Columbus, OH. Martha performed volunteer work as a Grey Lady at the VA hospital in Fayetteville for over 25 years, and also worked during blood drives. She volunteered at the polls and in her church.
A graveside service was held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 3 at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore's Chapel. The officiating minister was Lewis V. Chesser of Fort Smith.
