  Virginia C. Powell, 68, of 3611 N. Rochelle died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Sharon Elms Health Care Center. Born Feb. 15, 1930, in Pekin to Gilbert and Anna Hamel Neuhaus, she married Charles Powell on Feb. 20, 1948, in Pekin. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Steven of Mackinaw; two sisters, Erma Thompson and Rosemary Halverson, both of Pekin; and one stepsister, Virginia Sharp of Mapleton. One stepbrother preceded her in death. Burial in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star - Jan. 4, 1999.
