- Walter G. Yelch, 72, Sumner, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday in Richland Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Richland County on Feb. 9, 1908, son, of William and Klaura (Bunn) Yelch. He married Opal Clark, who survives.
Mr. Yelch was a retired pipe fitter and a member of the Lawsonian Church.
Other survivors include a son, Billy, at home; three daughters, Marsha Groff, Lawrenceville, Mrs. Brenda Rodrick, Claremont, and Mrs. Marjorie Robbins, Sumner; three sisters, Mrs. Joy Cullison, Ithica, N.Y., Mrs. Blanche Johnson, Missouri, and Mrs. Beulah Woodruff, Bridgeport; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Sumner Cemetery with Bro. Elton Carlson presiding. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday at the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner.
