- Aden Runyon, Jr. 51
Aden J. Runyon Jr., age 51 of Olney was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday morning at the Richland Memorial Hospital following an apparent heart attack suffered at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Kirk officiating. Interment will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park. Military graveside rites will be rendered by the Olney Veteran organizations. Visitation will be in the funeral home 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday.
Mr. Runyon was a lifelong resident of the county, the son of Aden J. Runyon Sr. and Mae Nichols Runyon. He was married to Ruthie Faye Hall on Dec. 30, 1950. He was a truck driver for the Navajo freight lines for several years. He served his country in World War 2 and was a member of the Memorial Post No. 4226 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Richland Post No. 30 of the American Legion. He was associated with Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville.
Surviving are his wife Ruthie Faye Runyon and two daughters: Mrs. Karen Sue Robards of Pekin and Miss Patricia Ruth Runyon, at home. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mae Runyon of Olney and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Whitney of Olney. There are three grandchildren. His father, Aden J. Runyon Sr., preceded him in death.
