- C.CCC. C.James Bradham, 79, of Bridgeport and Olney and formerly of West Salem, died at 6:16 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Lawrence Community Health Care in Bridgeport.
Burial with full military rites will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.
James was born June 14, 1933, in Olney, the son of Cleve and Myrtle (Schwarzlose) Bradham.
He grew up on the family farm southeast of West Salem. He was in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. After returning, he worked on the farm for five years. He went to Nashville, Tenn., to Nashville Auto and Diesel College. Graduating in 1961, he worked as a mechanic in Effingham and Olney until he was stricken with multiple sclerosis and forced into retirement. He was a member of Moravian Church in West Salem.
James is survived by his son, James N. Bradham, of San Francisco, Calif.; stepdaughters, Brenda Lenear and Glenda Lynch, of Olney; sister, Nancy Hardy, of West Salem; sister-in-law, Viola Bradham, of Spring Hill, Fla.; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Myrtle Bradham, two half-brothers, Everett and Eldon Bradham, and half-sister, Bessie (Bradham) Murr.
