She worked in Anchorage, AK as a cab driver, then at Western Electric Inc. in Chicago, IL before moving back to Flora where she was a waitress at the East End Cafe for many years. She loved the outdoors, her dog "Troubles", and her horses "Jr." & "Buddy" whom she was in many parades with. She taught us to have a good heart and be strong. We were priviledged to have her touch our lives with her loving nature as a mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She will long be treasured by those who loved her.
Surviving is her daughter: Madeline Roberts & husband Sgt. Michael (USMC); granddaughter: Sherry Followell & husband Eric; step-granddaughter: Karen Kaye Hunley; two great-grandsons: Kalob & Kyle Followell; two step-great-granddaughters: Bridget & Brandi; two sisters: Marion Burgess and Mary Wilson; brother-in-law: Babe Fordice; along with several nieces and nephews.
