- Dessie R. Sager, 81, died June 4, in Burgin Manor East. Services were Friday in Sivert-Macey Funeral Home in Sumner with Rev. John Taylor presiding. Burial in Sumner City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sager was born July 18, 1903, in Lawrence County,, the daughter of Franklin and Jane (Rodrick)Poland. She married Cecil L. Sager March 30, 1929, and he preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1942 She was retired from Genesco Garment Factory; a member of the Grace Baptist Church and Free Methodist Church in Sumner.
Survivors include two sons, Leroy of Marion; Don of Parkersburg; a daughter, Josephien Ulrich of Olney; a sister, Rachel Deimel of Sumner; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
