  He had some great stories. Drove one those boats that transported marines to shore. His ship was never hit but a lot around him were hit by kamikazees. He was a good basketball player. Every ship had a team and they played each other when they could. So the existing team on his ship snubbed him. He put his own team together and challenged them. He beat em.
