  Homer Bute, 71, prominent businessman of Flora, died Wednesday evening at the Clay County Hospital at Flora. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the First Christian Church at Flora with interment in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. He was married in 1921 to Mary Hardy, who survives long with a son, Don, Mayor of Flora, two daughters, Mrs. James (Martha) Clower, Flora; Mrs. Albert (Marilyn) McGee, Florissant, Mo.; brother Robert, Louisville; a sister, Mrs. John (Ruby) White, Flora; seven grandchildren and three Great-grandchildren.
