  Johnie Hugh, the little son of Hugh and Bertha Stanford, was born July 12. 1917, died January 4, 1920, age 2 years, 6 months and 23 days. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Mayberry at their home near Boyleston, Wayne county, Illinois. Interment was made in the Kneff Cemetery In Clay county, Illinois. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in our home, That never can be filled. We thank our friends and neighbors for their aid during the sickness and death of our little son, Johnie. Hugh Stanford, Bertha Stanford, and children. (The Flora Record, January 15, 1920)
