- Betty Ledeker White, 80, of Olney, died at 9:15 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007, at her residence.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at First Church of Olney. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the church with Pastor Dale Akers officiating.
Mrs. White was born September 15, 1926, in Kaw City, Okla., the daughter of Herman and Viola (Shick) Ledeker. She married Roy Bernard White on September 4, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1979.
She was a teacher at Olney Central College and a member of First Church of Olney, Clio Club and Eagles.
Mrs. White is survived by her son, Steve White and his wife, Peggy Jo Meyers, of Olney; son, Leslee P. White and his wife, Lu Ann, of Springfield; daughter, Lou Ann Kapper and her husband, Richard, of Gainesville, Fla.; son, Jody White and his wife, Arlene, of Louisville, Ky.; son, Marty White, of Olney; and her brother Lewis Eugene Ledeker of Billings, Montana; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to First Church of Olney.
